What is a best song? Do you remember the song that was playing when you met your partner? The one that was playing when you danced a slow dance and you knew they were the one? Or maybe it was that song that brought you out on the dance floor. The list can go on, but I think you get the idea. To me best songs are everlasting, memorable and an anchor in time that takes you back. I remember four songs that have stayed with me over the years that came out in 1975. Three are by the Ojay's, Family Reunion, Living For the Weekend and Stairway to Heaven. The fourth is by Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Wake Up Everybody, and featured Teddy Pendergrass. Teddy would leave the group to pursue is solo career after this album was released. There are many more songs that I considered best songs at the time there were released that will always be everlasting.
