Can’t Fake The Feeling – Geraldine Hunt

Hey everybody, it is a sunny Fall day outside warming up to a cool 6C, but that is okay. we have some R&B, Soul, House and Dance music to warm up your “Flashback Friday.”
First up is Geraldine Milligan aka, Geraldine Hunt, was born in St. Louis, Missouri into a musical family. Her father was considered a “one-man band,” and her grandmother often appeared on the Chitlin' Circuit as a singer. The singing bug hit her at an early age, even before high school. While she was in high school she would befriend another aspiring singer who would become a best friend. That singer was no other than Minnie Ripperton.
Most of you may not have heard of Geraldine Hunt, because she only had one major hit, which happens to be our first selection for the day. You will remember two of her children, Freddie James of “Get Up And Boogie,” fame and Rosalind Hunt one half of the duo Cheri, who had a hit with “Murphy’s Law.” Both hits were written and produced by Geraldine after she moved to Montreal, Canada.
It was while in Canada she released two albums, “Can’t Fake The Feeling,” another song she wrote and comes off the second album.
