Celebration – Kool And The Gang

Had to include this group in this Friday's playlist. I first heard of Kool and the Gang back in the 1960s. They were tearing up dance floors in North America with such hits as “Jungle Boogie,” “Hollywood Swinging,” and “Funky Stuff.” They originally hit the scene has the Jazziacs, then changed to Kool and the Flames, Kool is Robert Bell's nickname. Robert “Kool” Bell along with his brother Ronald Bell, formed the group. To avoid their fans from confusing them with James Brown's Band the changed their name to Kool and the Gang. “Celebration,” came out on their 1980s album/CD “Celebrate,” and it seem to be playing just about everywhere I went along with “Ladies Night.” The band is known for playing Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B and Disco. Which category would you put “Celebration?”
