It is TGIF and that means “Flashback Friday,” to get the weekend started.
Well, I am braced for the beginning of the snow. We are scheduled to get 1-3cm of the white stuff between today and tomorrow. Hopefully, most of you that drive cars have installed your winter tires.
Starting us off this week is probably one of the most popular bands in the 1970s, along with The Village People and The BeeGees. KC & The Sunshine Band was lead by Henry Wayne “KC,” Casey.
KC was working at TK Records when he was introduced to Richard Finch a sound engineer at the same label. The two would go on to write and produce all of KC & The Sunshine Band’s material and for other artists.
Between 1974 and ‘78, KC & The Sunshine Band would release something like even to eight solid Disco hits, including “Get Down Tonight,” and “Shake, Shake, Shake (Shake Your Boogie).”
Here is KC & The Sunshine Band with “Get Down Tonight.”
