Hello folks, it is “Soulful Sunday,” and three days since Aretha Franklin left us and went to join the Soulful Choir in heaven. This Sunday my selection is dedicated to the “Queen of Soul.” Two of my selection will her songs.
In 1967, my first song was originally written for Dionne Warwick, by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Lots of other female artists have covered the song, but the only one that was more successful than Dionne’s version is Aretha’s cover.
The song deals with a woman’s love for her man and how she thinks about him during her day.
I loved this song from the moment I heard it up to this day.
Let us start the day with Aretha singing “I Say A Little Prayer.”
