I Was Made To Love Her – Stevie Wonder

My next artist needs no huge fanfare. Most of us grew up listening to Stevie Wonder. Some of us even grew up with him, given that he and I are born in the same year 1950. His first song would debut when he was 11. I would have an opportunity to see him live in Birmingham, England in 1964. He was part of the Motown Revue that was touring throughout England and parts of Europe.
During his teenage years, most of Stevie’s songs were co-written by his mother. My next selection was co-written by three people, Stevie, his mother Lula May Hardaway and Sylvia Moy. Sylvia Moy was born in Arkansas and that is probably why the first words on the song are “I was born in Little Rock.”
The song was released in 1967 and speaks to first love.
Here is Stevie Wonder and “I Was Made To Love Her.
