Keep On Movin’ – Soul II Soul

Soul II Soul, is a British group that started out as a DJ group, playing at house and warehouse parties. They also started a clothing line called “Funki Dred.” This was back in the 1980s when Black music was breaking through once again. This time it was Contemporary R&B and Soul. Reggae and Ska were already entrenched and growing in popularity with Windrush generation and the youth growing up. This wave of R&B and Soul, however, has been written and recorded by England’s Black youth.
People like Jazzy B, had been doing the party scene and knew there was a demand for a funky sound coming out of England. In 1989, is when Soul II Soul released our next song.
