Lover’s Concerto – The Toys

What do Johann Sebastian Bach and a group called The Toys have in common? Well, Johan Sebastian Bach wrote a Minuet in G Major and The Toys took that reworked it called it “Lover’s Concerto.” It became their first major hit.
The Toys originally formed while in high school in Jamaica, Queens, New York.
Two of the members were born in North Carolina and moved to New York at an early age. Barbara Harris and Barbara Parritt joined June Montiero and formed the group the Charlettes. They started singing background vocals for other established stars until they were noticed and introduced to Vince Marc, who change their name to The Toys.
I close off the session with The Toys and “Lover’s Concerto.”
As I sign off folks I ask you to like me on my social media pages and I will see you right back here next Sunday. Have a great week.
