Make It Like It Was – Regina Belle

Hello folks, “Soulful Sunday,” here and I am ready to lay down some R&B, Soul, Romantic-Soul and Quiet Storm tracks from the 1950s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. The period in time when music really was the language of love.
Regina Belle Should be considered one of the top ten female R&B, vocalists of the 20th Century. Born in New Jersey, she started her singing career singing Gospel. Her first solo was at the age of eight.
In college she studied Opera, and Jazz, becoming the first female singer for her university Jazz Ensemble. After leaving school, she became the opening act for the Soul group the Manhattans. It was through this arrangement she became noticed by Columbia Records, who did sign her to a contract as a solo artist.
Regina released several hits during the late 1980s, early 90s, including my first selection. She also recorded several duets with artists like the Manhattans, Peabo Bryson, Jeffery Osborne and Johnny Mathis.
Here is Regina Belle with “Make It Like It Was.”
