My next selection is off Cameo’s tenth album of the same name. When Cameo first came out there was no doubt they were into Funk. I remember picking up an album by them and another by Slave and believe me that was like hitting pure gold. Both bands took us on a Funky trip. Cameo with Cardiac Arrest and Slave by the group of the same name. That was back in the 1970s. Cameo has kept themselves popular by moving with the times and adding the sounds of New Wave to their repertoire.
She’s Strange came out around 1984/5 and showed that Cameo was moving with the times. Still releasing R&B, and Funk music but a little lighter on the Funk.
Here is Cameo with “She’s Strange,”
