Sweet Soul Music – Arthur Conley

Well I hope you have enjoyed this weeks selection. If you have leave a comment on the song you liked or on all of them. Tell your friends to visit www.everlasting-soul.com to relive those days of dance and sweet soul music. Arthur Conley was fortunate to meet Otis Redding who liked a song he did “I'm A Lonely Stranger.” Redding asked him to re-release the song and following that release he and rewrote a Sam Cooke song “Yeah Man,” Which became “Sweet Soul Music.” The song was successful not only in the United States but also in most of Europe. Conley moved to the Netherlands after this and changed his name to Lee Roberts. Arthur Conley you see was gay and we know that equality was something being fought for. Have a great weekend.
